Karen Meck has over 30 years of experience working with high-net-worth clientele specializing in tax planning and life insurance. She has served as a tax consultant for a variety of firms and has gained a mastery of the industry through the years of working with individuals, financial institutions, law firms, accounting firms, large producer groups and M Financial firms.
As President and Chief Executive Officer of KBM Consulting, Karen utilizes her extensive tax background to help companies enhance their own services. She also provides expertise in the areas of estate planning, wealth transfer, retirement planning and business continuation for both the private and public sectors. Karen’s vast tax planning knowledge allows her to provide clients with a clear understanding of life insurance and how it may be utilized as liquidity for estate taxes, retirement income or part of an executive’s benefit plan. She is an expert in the utilization of life insurance for all purposes, working closely with product analytics, stress testing and insurance carrier financial reporting. In addition, she analyzes, designs, and recommends the most appropriate product strategy to meet KBM’s clients’ portfolio objectives.
Karen earned a Master of Taxation degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from Millersville University. She is licensed in Life, Health, and Disability and holds the Accredited Estate Planner designation. She is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Lancaster County. Karen has volunteered for the Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster, S. June Smith Center and Brereton Manor.
Karen enjoys spending time with her husband, Todd and their three French Bulldogs, Cabernet, Buster, and Avalanche. She has a passion for competing in bodybuilding competitions and traveling to national parks.
